International Foundation Programme Scotland

Student Welfare

It is a major step for young people to leave home to study in a foreign country and their welfare is crucial for success in their studies. The Programme staff and tutors pay close attention to the welfare of Foundation students, to ease the transition to living in Scotland and to ensure that their time in the Foundation Programme is productive. ifps will give you professional advice throughout your period of study. This includes advice on immigration (visas), financial, academic or personal matters.

ACCOMMODATION

Students live with carefully selected local host families during the winter school. In the family home, you will have your own bedroom with space for private study. Breakfast and a hot evening meal with the family will be offered daily and lunch is also included at the weekends. No two students of the same mother tongue are placed in the same household. During the summer school, students live in self-catering student accommodation.
